Details of Antibody Immunotherapy with chemical environment of Antibodies.

In this blog we are going to take a fine look about the chemical structures of antibodies in basic simplicity to be able to understand how they work with the immune system.

They are mainly made of Y shaped glycoprotein and are a member of the family of immunoglobulin’s (in fact antibodies or immunoglobulin’s are used interchangeably), and they are mainly produced through the plasma cells which the same as white blood cells, their main form when they are produced is the soluble form because they are secreted, and they only change to the membrane bound form when they are in interactions with other proteins.

The antibodies are significant because they happen to be the main way the immune system detects antigen proteins which are present in any form of foreign body that enters the host, and whenever they are present the antibody through a key lock relationship binds to the antigen and either tags it for the immune system to act on it or attack it itself directly. Antibodies can be modified to override immune responses which are the basis of immunotherapy.

These immunoglobulins are mainly made of two sets of chains that form the Y shape that is two large and heavy chains and two small and light chains. Based on the heavy chains they are classified into different types of iso types, mainly these iso types differ to be able to adapt to any type of antigen proteins.

The way the antigen protein is bound to the antibody is through the hyper variable tip of the antibody which fits precisely to the type of antigen present.

And what gives every single antibody a very great form of flexibility is that heavy chain base can be exchanged for another forming a different iso type and thus it can be used for a different form of antigen, this is what makes a single antibody capable of being used throughout the immune system in many places.

Global Allied Pharmaceuticals is providing immunotherapy and immune-oncology services since more than 14 years. Additionally our company accompanies an expert and skilled team of researchers and oncologists which works effectively to meet the unmet meet of medication.
